NextDoor was a fantastic option for brunch. The food was so incredible and the service was incredibly efficient. The bar side of the restaurant can be a little loud, but is still great. Had a little miscommunication between the host and server which resulted in some rude remarks by the server, but we overcame it and enjoyed our meal. Wish the situation was dealt with away from our table in a more professional manner.

Came here on a snowy weekday night with my husband and there was only one other table filled - felt like we booked the whole place to ourselves! Parking can get busy here on weekends and warm days, but the snow kept patrons away so we got lucky to find parking in the main lot.

The special for Tuesday was $12 shareables and half price oysters (raspberry point). We were given menus and waters as soon as we were seated, and within 5min we had someone check in to see if we had questions. We ordered the community burger and spaghetti bolognese, and a starter of the pork sisig bombs. Food arrived hot within 15-20min (when I’ve come here for brunch before, it can take 15-25min) and we both loved everything. The spaghetti bolognese has two pieces of impressive fried chicken that come with it, the batter is amazing and crunchy. I think the brunch chicken and waffles uses the same, and we’ve always been a fan of it. Pork sisig had a good balance of flavours and a mix of fat that just melts in the mouth, this was my favourite part of the order. My husband devoured the burger and reports it was great, with a side of fries.

Water was refilled as needed and we paid by card with no issue. We will be back for brunch and dinner in the future!

I went to Nextdoor Restaurant on my birthday for a late brunch after 2 PM, hoping for a nice celebration. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a terrible experience.

We ordered the brunch tower for two, which cost nearly $60. Unfortunately, everything on the tower was salty and overcooked—even the pancake was chewy. We tried to stay positive since it was my birthday, but things just got worse.

At 2:45 PM, we were told it was last call for orders. We didn’t place any additional orders, unaware of what was about to happen. After the last call, they seated another table just before 2:45 PM, but once those customers left, the lights were dimmed. While I thought it might be to prepare for dinner service, it became clear we were being rushed.

The most frustrating part was when a server started sweeping the floor right beside our table while we were still eating. It made us so uncomfortable that we stopped eating and asked for the bill. When I asked the server if they were closing, she told us they take a break from 2:45 to 3:30 PM.

What’s upsetting is that they never mentioned their break—not when we arrived, not when we ordered, and not when they told us about the last call. If they had told us upfront, we wouldn’t have stayed or placed an order. Instead, they rushed us and made us feel unwelcome, effectively ruining what should have been a special meal.

To make matters worse, when it came time to pay, the server stood over us and stared at the payment machine while both my friend and I chose the tip amount. We felt rushed and pressured, and even though she didn’t deserve it, we both ended up tipping 18%. This added to the overall unpleasantness of the experience.

This was my third visit to this restaurant, but it will absolutely be my last. Between the rude service, lack of communication, disappointing food, and the pressure to tip, I can’t recommend this place to anyone. A solid 1-star experience.

My friend and I enjoyed brunching here and ordered the brunch tower to share between us. There was a generous amount of food included - enough for the both of us and some. The variety was fantastic, it was all very delicious and well worth the cost. This restaurant came recommend to us and not only do I expect to return but will certainly be recommending to others as well.

Great spot for a fancier brunch. Their food is an Asian fusion with lots of options for both savoury and sweet brunch. I shared the brunch tower with my friend and it was great because you could try a little bit of everything. Pancakes were also very good.

4 stars because parking was very difficult on a Saturday and the building doesn’t have the best signage.

Service was great serve with irresistible Sunday brunch. Dishes were tasty and presentable. Definitely an improvement when we last visited years ago. Thanks for the meal as always.
